yes, i am done with Small Steps by Louis Sachar.

is it mere coincidence that both the books i ordered from Scholastic has an ending that hangs?
it almost drove me crazy when i realized that the last page was the last page!

but man, Louis Sachar is one good writer!
i don't understand how his book was so ... good.
i bet he has been through something similar or seen someone else been through that!!!
... that, or he's just a very clever person.

i am just very impressed with the book.
